PHOTODYNAMIC THERAPY (PDT) FOR CANCER
Photodynamic therapy (PDT) is a two-step process. Step 1 involves applying either directly to the skin or intravenously (into the blood) a photosensitizing agent [usually either the drug porfimer sodium (Photofrin) or aminolevulinic (ALA or Levulan)]. Step 2 involves activating the photosensitizing agent with light (from certain kinds of lasers of LED's). This activation causes the photosensitizing agent to form a special type of singlet oxygen molecule (and other Reactive Oxygen Species or ROS) in the cell's oxygen Krebs' Citric Acid Cycle that kills the cancer cells. It is recommended by the American Cancer Society, National Cancer Institute and is being trialled at the Mayo Clinic for certain types of cancers.
THE OVERNIGHT CURE FOR CANCER
Due to this being a new treatment, there are no studies that exist indicating whether the Overnight Cure for Cancer (OCC) as a combined therapy is capable of extending cancer survival.
HYPERTHERMIA TREATMENT
Hyperthermia combined with radiation has been demonstrated in multiple studies to double 3, 5, and 12 year survival rates compared to those treated with radiation alone. Hyperthermia combined with radiation achieves on average a 68% complete remission compared to 43% with radiation alone. (This data is based on 7 studies).
LIQUID CESIUM CHLORIDE/DMSO
There are no studies we are aware of (and we have looked thoroughly) where Cesium Chloride has been used alone or with DMSO in any human study or trial, controlled or uncontrolled. Cesium Chloride typically has been used with other proven anti-cancer agents such as High Dose Vitamin C, meaning it is impossible to determine what effect the Cesium Chloride has in extending cancer survival.
OZONE (OXYGEN) CANCER THERAPY
Although Ozone Oxygen Cancer Therapy has been used to treat cancer patients in Europe and Germany for nearly 30 years, there exists no thorough clinical patient trials, nor any study that documents increased survival times.
EDTA CHELATION THERAPY
EDTA Chelation Therapies’ role as an adjunct to cancer treatment lies in the fact that it is a powerful antioxidant and in its ability to clear toxic heavy metals from the body. Chelation Therapy does not cure cancer; however, as an adjunctive treatment, it is believed to potentiate other approaches to cancer therapy. Informal studies indicate that very few people who are fully chelated go on to develop cancer after chelation. Its power to prevent cancer is estimated to be about ninety percent: a full course of chelation serves to prevent ninety percent of cancers which otherwise would happen.
HYDROGEN PEROXIDE
Intravenous hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) has much the same mechanism of action as Ozone — boosting oxidative metabolism and damaging and killing cancer cells, bacteria and viruses, as well as boosting the immune system. Hydrogen Peroxide is water with an extra oxygen atom attached. H2O2 plays a key role in the body's immune system. When a normal white blood cell finds an invader, it generates a tiny amount of H2O2 inside the cell, which is used to kill off the invading cell. This is known as a "respiratory burst." When a solution of 0.15% H202 in saline is injected into the bloodstream, a remarkable thing happens. The enzymatic system is stimulated throughout the body, particularly in those places, which are under attack from diseases of various kinds. This stimulation results in a mass of respiratory bursts taking place, which has a tremendous effect on fighting the diseases present in the body. It also has an amazing side effect, in that it dramatically helps reduce and even eliminate side-effects from chemotherapy. Intravenous Vitamin C therapy creates hydrogen peroxide in cancer cells.
LAETRILE (VITAMIN B17)
When B17 is introduced to the body, it is broken down by the enzyme Rhodanese. When B17 comes into contact with cancer cells, there is no Rhodanese to break it down and neutrelise it but instead, only the enzyme Beta-Gucosidase is present in very large quantities. When B17 and Beta-Glucosidase come into contact with each other, a chemical reaction occurs and the Hydrogen Cyanide and Benzaldehyde combine synergistically to produce a poison which destroys and kills the cancer cells. This whole process is known as selective toxicity. Only the cancer cells are specifically targeted and destroyed. The Oasis of Hope Hospital in Mexico have reportedly successfully treated over 100,000 cancer patients using this method. Most people take laetrile in the form of apricot kernels, consuming between 24 to 40 kernels a day.
P53 GENE THERAPY
P53 Gene Therapy is a gene treatment injected directly into malignant tumours that causes them to shrink, and some to disappear altogether. It targets cancer cells that lack the P53 gene, present in normal healthy cells. A study published in the Journal of Medicine found that tumours shrank in 25 of 30 patients when this therapy was combined with chemotherapy, a superior result to chemotherapy given alone.
LIVE CELL THERAPY
The injection of foetal or embryonic cells was developed by Paul Niehans in Switzerland in the 1930s. In cancer treatment with live cell therapy, the thymus gland is targeted, because it plays an important role in immune function. Shark foetal cells are favoured, because it is believed they contain a substance which accounts for the fact that sharks almost never get cancer. Live cell therapists admit that by itself live cell therapy is not a cure for terminal cancer. They also believe it is useful as part of an overall nutritional / metabolic approach. The earlier treatment is instituted, the more effective it is.
UVBI (ULTRA VIOLET BLOOD IRRADIATION)
UVBI is a process where a quantity of blood (usually 125 ml) is drawn from the body. It is then exposed to a particular wave-length of ultraviolet A light, usually for a duration of between 10-30 minutes. It is then re-introduced back into the body. This would constitute one treatment. The net result of the treatment is that it stimulates the immune system and various enzyme systems to "learn" how to fight bacteria, viruses, and yes, even cancer. Dr. Richard L. Edelson of the Yale Cancer Center has developed a highly successful method of fighting Cutaneous T-Cell Lymphoma using a variation on UVBI.
HIGH INTENSITY FOCUSED ULTRASOUND
High Intensity Focused Ultrasound (HIFU) is a new cancer treatment that gives off high frequency sound waves to kill cancer cells and is only used to treat a single tumour or part of a large tumour. It doesn't treat tumours that are more widespread, and is therefore not suitable for people with cancer that has spread to more than one place in their body. HIFU also does not pass through bone or air. Chinese researchers were the first to lead the way using this treatment and have done trials treating nearly 5000 people with many different types of cancers. It is mostly suitable for prostate, kidney, primary and secondary liver cancer, pancreatic and bladder cancer.
