Causes of Lung Cancer

There are a number of causes of lung cancer at the physical level.  These include smoking tobacco, exposure to asbestos, radon gas, genetic risk and chemicals such as uranium, chromium and nickel.  What is little known is that there is a very specific emotional cause of lung cancer, however before this is discussed, we will briefly outline the currently accepted causes of lung cancer.  If you wish to go directly to the emotional cause of lung cancer, go to Dr Ryke Geerd Hamer.

Smoking clearly damages the cells within the lungs and increases the likelihood of cells mutating during the dividing process.  Long-term exposure to any harmful smoke can have the same effect and that is why passive smokers are at increased risk of lung cancer.   There is debate that the long-term smoking of cannabis can be included as one of the causes of lung cancer; however there is little evidence yet to support this theory.  Clearly, the more you pollute your lungs with poisons and chemicals from exposure to smoke the greater your chance of developing lung cancer.

Radon gas is the second leading cause of lung cancer.  Radon gas is a naturally occurring radioactive gas that can pass from decayed soil and rocks into your home or workplace building.   When someone breathes in the radioactive particles from the radon gas, this can damage the cells of the lungs and cause cell mutations, leading to cancer of the lung.  Those who smoke and are exposed to radon gas have a far greater chance of developing lung cancer. A study conducted by the National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences in the US of more than 1,000 persons found a link between lung cancer and radon gas exposure.

Asbestos also has a very bad reputation and for good reason.  It is a very harmful substance and exposure to asbestos, particularly those who smoke, are at increased risk of developing lung cancer. It is one of the main causes of lung cancer.  Asbestos has been primarily linked to the form of cancer known as Mesothelioma, a cancer of the membranes which covers the lungs.  As with smoking, the degree to which you have been exposed to asbestos will determine whether you develop lung cancer.  Small exposure will increase your chances only slightly, while heavy exposure will increase your chances greatly.

Genetics has also been identified as one of the causes of lung cancer; however it is a little more difficult to prove this theory, as smoking can be an inherited family trait as well as the effects of passive smoking, and lung cancer incidence may also “run in the family” if there is exposure to radon gas and asbestos in the family home. The National Cancer Institute discovered what they believe to be an inherited gene that increases ones susceptibility to lung cancer and research in this field still continues.

Uranium has also been identified as one of the causes of lung cancer, especially in those who are clearly non-smokers and who have worked directly with uranium.  The radiation – similar to that of radon gas – causes damage to the DNA of cells and leads to cell mutations and ultimately cancer of the lung.   Chromium and nickel have also been identified as substances that lead to cell damage in the lungs resulting in the formation of cancer.

The above comprehensive list of “external” causes of lung cancer – are in fact poisons that can ruin the cell structure of the cells in the lung, resulting in mutations and cancer – however, ONLY if certain emotional conditions are in play.  Stress has long been associated as a risk factor for cancer, and there are many studies that have shown the direct link between stress, a weakening of the immune system and the formation of cancer in the body, that enable “external” factors, such as these poisons, to wreak their havoc.

To put it simply, if the body’s immune system is PUT OUT OF ACTION due to sustained chronic emotional stress, then newly created cancer cells “born” of the above list of poisons entering the lungs, will be allowed to flourish and form tumor sites without immune system resistance.

To fully understand how stress in the body creates cancer in the body and how you can UNDO it, go to The Cancer Personality. You will discover how Dr Ryke-Geerd Hamer, a famous German doctor who studied the notes of many thousands of cancer patients, was able to identify the exact emotional cause of lung cancer, as well as the exact emotional cause of all other cancers in the body.
